What are the account resource limits? Print

  • 0

These are the resources that each cPanel account is limited to. These limits are in place to help prevent a single user from utilizing a significant chunk of the server resources and subsequently affecting everyone else. If you are reaching your limits persistently and do not know why, please open a support ticket and we'll be happy to take a look.

The table below shows the limits for our current generation of plans. Legacy plans may have different limits.

CPU

100%

Memory

2 GB

Entry Processes

25

I/O Speed

CPU The % of a core (100% is representative of 1 full CPU core) that your account is limited to before throttling occurs. No errors will occur from hitting this limit — your processes are throttled/slowed down instead of killed.
RAM The maximum amount of physical memory that your account can utilize. Errors will occur if this limit is reached.
EP Counted as processes that act as entries such as processes into PHP and MySQL. However, this is not a direct limit on how many users can visit your website(s). Errors will occur if this limit is reached.

Important System Limits

All cPanel accounts have an IOPS limit of 1,024 and an inode limit of 1,000,000.
Once the inode limit is reached, you will be unable to write any more files and will be required to remove data to regain functionality.

If you are persistently reaching your limits and do not know why, please open a support ticket and we'll be happy to take a look.
